Flystrike

The second singleton hoglet of the day, this one is a 71g female and was absolutely covered in flystrike. She had just hatched maggots in her ears and mouth and crawling all over her tummy.

She was freezing cold so it was a mad rush to clean the flystrike off her and get her into an incubator.

Even now, 4 hours since her arrival, she is very cold. I’m hoping that she’ll warm up so we can get some rehydration solution into her to perk her up.
