We rely on the finder to get casualties to us whenever possible as we cannot spare staff to leave the rescue centre, especially during the spring and summer months.

Please do not travel to the rescue without calling ahead, we might not be there!
The centre is open for admissions from 8am – 5pm weekdays, and 9am – 1pm at weekends.

Ashley Barn lies just south of Milborne St Andrew, with excellent road links to A354 (Blandford/Dorchester) and A35 (Bere Regis/Dorchester).From Bere Regis, Ringwood, Bournemouth, or Poole, on the A35 or A31
At the Bere regis roundabout (junction of A31 and A35 at which there is a Shell Filling Station) take the A35 towards Dorchester
Take the first exit (Tolpuddle Ball) towards Warmwell/Crossways/Affpuddle/Milborne St Andrew/Tolpuddle/Briantspuddle.
Turn left onto Dorchester Rd/B3390
Turn left onto B3390
Follow the B3390 for approximately 800m to Ashley barn on your left.
From Dorchester, Weymouth, Bridport or Yeovil on the A35
At the Kingston Maurward roundabout take the A35 East towards Bere Regis.
Take the exit (Tolpuddle Ball) towards Warmwell/Crossways/Affpuddle/Milborne St Andrew/Tolpuddle/Briantspuddle.
Turn right onto B3390
Follow the B3390 for approximately 800m to Ashley barn on your left.
Our centre is not a visitor attraction and is not open to the public.
Our work with hedgehogs is done behind closed doors for the hedgehogs’ welfare and to give them the best possible second chance at life in the wild.
