Ringworm

At this time of year it is very common for hedgehogs to contract the fungal skin condition of Ringworm. It causes sore and flakey skin with loss of prickles and fur, which can take many weeks to grow back.

This is juvenile Chestnut having a soothing bath by volunteer Isla to help his recovery. He will also receive supplements on his food to aid the skins recovery alongside other treatments.

A spiky baked potato!
