We never quite made it to 700 hedgehogs last year in the end, we had no new entries for the last two days of the year, so finished at 698 hogs for the year.
2021 has kicked off with two hogs in this morning, one male and one female juvenile hogs around the 350g mark. With the frost we’ve had over the last few days, and -5 here last night, they were lucky to have been found and picked up.
Please keep an eye out for hogs out during the daytime, and for little ones out at night. Keep feeding your visiting hogs, as even at these colder temps, many do not hibernate. They will rely on the food we leave out for them to keep them going.
