Mae

This is little Mae, a 240g female hoglet that was found by the children of Upton Infants School 5 days ago.

She was dehydrated, cold and very hungry. After a day and a half in one of our incubators, she picked up really well, and is now quite active. She has a healthy appetite and we can see no reason why she would not be ready for release when she gets up to weight.

We have paired her up with another orphan hoglet, Zippy, as our experience is that orphan hoglets do better with other hoglets of the same size/age.

Thank you to the children for finding her, and to the School for contacting us to get the care she needed.
