First entry of the new year;
1 x adult male hedgehog 592g, attacked by a dog, wound on head and to left side above skirt. Also has noisy breathing/wheezy.
He has had subcutaneous fluids for shock, antibiotics and pain relief injections and is now in an ICU for observation.
Once he produces a poo I’ll check it under the microscope for internal parasites, and treat as necessary.
