This little 49g female hoglet is one of the 5 hedgehogs that arrived here this morning.
She was dehydrated and had flystrike with newly hatched maggots. Most of them had made their way to her lady bits, and have now been removed.
She was quite warm, so we tried her with a feed, which she took 2ml of formula.
I think she may be the runt of a litter as her development is advanced for her size, she has her eyes open, teeth are through and she has fur on her belly, plus she can fully roll up into a tight ball, not much bigger than a conker shell.

She is now in one of our incubators having an after dinner nap.
