Very wriggly brother and sister, Taffy and Anna, have been with us for 15 days. They are approx 3 1/2 weeks old, and are still in one of the incubators.

We’ve got a couple of hogs in with harvest mite infestations now. Harvest mites attack animals (and humans) during their larval period, which is the only stage that attacks animals.
Today’s entries so far; 1 x adult female hedgehog and her hoglet 122g dug out by a dog. 1 x female hoglet 134g out alone in daylight. Dehydrated and cold.
Another entry just now, 1 male hoglet, 186g found out alone frantically looking around (probably for mum) but no other hogs seen around.
Luckily he is only slightly dehydrated, but very hungry. Here he is eating some first age kitten biscuits from a tea bag dish, so you can see how tiny he is.
Pansy’s hoglets are doing well, she is very laid back in her attitude, and tolerates her hutch being cleaned very well, and shows no sign of stress.
