A handful of hoglets….
This is little “Melody” and her litter mates.
Melody and her 4 siblings all came in as newborns after their mother was killed on the road. As babies of less than 24 hours old they could not have survived on their own.
They were hand fed round the clock, and are now aged 3 weeks old and beginning to explore their surroundings. They are also growing their teeth and beginning the process of weaning onto solids, which is a very messy affair!
We pride ourselves on a very high success rate with orphaned hoglets, who can be very difficult to hand raise – and we look forward to the day they can all go back where they belong – into the wild.
