Mum and hoglet

This mother and hoglet came to us four days ago after their nest was disturbed while a bamboo bush was being removed.

Mum has handled the disruption well, and her hoglet appears to be coming on fine. The hoglet has most of it’s second coat of spikes, and is more grey than pink in colour now.

It will be cutting it fine for this hoglet to be ready for release this winter, as she may not be big enough to hibernate in time for the winter, we’ll have to wait and see.
