This is the 5th hedgehog that has been trapped in netting we have had in since Friday. This is an adult female and she has either a very badly dislocated hip, or a broken hip where she has been struggling to get free of netting that she was trapped in. I’m pretty sure there will be some ligament damage as well.
She is currently being assessed at our vets.
Please, if you have garden netting or goal netting in your garden, raise it by 6 inches, or better still, take it down after use.
