Across the country, hedgehogs and other wildlife are quietly losing their homes as fields, hedgerows and green spaces disappear to development. 🦔🙏💚
Places they’ve lived for generations are suddenly gone, leaving them with fewer places to shelter, feed and move safely. But there is something simple we can all do to help….
Our gardens can become lifelines. A small hole in a fence — a hedgehog highway — can reconnect gardens and give hedgehogs access to food, shelter and mates. Leaving a wild corner, providing water, avoiding slug pellets, and checking before strimming or lighting bonfires, all make a huge difference.🦔🐾❤️
🌿 It doesn’t take much space to be kind.
🌿 It doesn’t take much effort to care.
Together, garden by garden, we can help make sure hedgehogs still have somewhere to call home. 🦔🏡💚
If you can, please consider making your garden hedgehog-friendly — and share this to help spread the word.
