Didn’t make it

This little hog came in at lunchtime today, having been found out during the day, just laying on the lawn. It was very poorly, with a rattly chest, difficult breathing, severely dehydrated and anaemic – its gums were as white as a sheet. I removed over 200 ticks, which was as many as the poor thing could stand us removing.

I gave it 60ml of subcut fluids, and put it in one of the incubators to warm up, but unfortunately it passed away within an hour of arriving.
