This little chap came in to us in a very poor condition, very dehydrated and emaciated, probably due to having gone into hibernation at a low weight, or with an underlying illness.
Unfortunately this hog passed away shortly after arrival.
Please leave food and water out for hogs, especially in this hot dry weather – hogs coming out of hibernation will be desperate for a drink and an easy meal. This could mean the difference between life and death for them.
