We had this little hoglet (81g) brought over to us this evening. Very flat, cold, dehydrated and covered in flystrike.
He was given warm subcut fluids, had the flystrike cleaned off and is now warming up in one of the new incubators. Hedgehogs will not feed when they are cold, so we need him to get warm so he can be fed.
He is very lethargic, but responsive, so we’ll have to see how he goes.
