Running a rescue centre is an expensive business and the overheads are quite high – heating, lighting, power, waste disposal, rent etc, then there is food to buy, vets bills to pay, cleaning supplies and other items that are needed on a daily basis.
Sadly, rescue centres such as ours receive no central funding and we are not eligible for grants from the lottery etc. so we rely 100% on the generosity of donors and well wishers.
