I’m very happy to report that we have just completed the lease for our new premises and hope to get the keys shortly.
This is going to be a massive project, and we will need help going forwards, with volunteers and fundraising, donations etc.
This will be a one of a kind rescue in Dorset in terms of size and facilities.
Set in a barn conversion near Bere Regis, adjacent to the A35, we will have 3,094 square feet of room over two floors. The rescue will be on the ground floor with offices, meeting space and training facilities on the first floor.
We expect to have a two-week setting up period before we can open, and we will have limited capacity until our new hedgehog cages are manufactured and delivered. We hope to be open in the second week of April and will update with our progress as we go.
I have attached some photos taken during an earlier visit so you can get an idea of what we are taking on.
*** PLEASE NOTE – we are not able to take in any hedgehogs until we are setup and ready to open.
