Well, where do I start.
What an absolutely spectacular attendance we had at our grand opening today. We underestimated by a long long way the number of people that would attend.
Checking our camera footage, we think there were close on 1,000 people that came during the day. There was a 30 minute wait to get into the rescue centre to have a look around, but we had to control the numbers inside to prevent total chaos.

Thank you everyone for your patience while waiting to get on the site, and into the rescue centre.
I must thank our wonderful volunteers who were magnificent, coming in early to clean the cages and helping out throughout the day in various roles. Gary and crew for managing the traffic flow and car park, and Karen and Neil O’Shea and friends for their help.
Special thanks to Sally Collins for arranging the day but it was a shame you weren’t there to see how spectacularly successful it was.

Thank you to all who came, many of you with food and other items to donate for the hedgehogs, as well as making financial donations.
Thank you to Cllr Andy Canning, Mayor of Dorchester and Mel Lane, Mayoress, and Chloe Colvin for cutting the ribbon to officially open the rescue centre.
It is a testament to everybody that came that there was not a single piece of litter in our yard or the car park field, thank you so much for that.
We had so many favourable comments and good wishes today and we are truly grateful to everyone – thank you!
